Released December 2022, Andrew was a guest on the podcast "On Listening" hosted by Daniel Rosen, LCSW. Dan and Andrew have an impromptu conversation how how listening shows up in the context of Surrogate Partner Therapy. "Surrogate Partner Therapy," a zoom presentation by Andrew, hosted by the Center for Healthy Sex, March 19, 2021.
"Surrogate Partner Therapy: Tools and Lessons that all Providers can apply to Patient Care." This was a presentation made at the annual meeting/conference of ISSWSH (International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health) by Andrew Heartman and Dr. Heather Howard, on March 6th, 2021. Andrew introduces Surrogate Partner Therapy and examples of exercises commonly used in that modality, and then Heather explains how the concepts and exercises can be adapted and used in other contexts.

"The Male Surrogate: Past, Present, Future" was shown at the Western Region Conference for the Society of the Scientific Study of Sexuality (San Francisco, April 2011). Andrew speaks about 4 minutes into the video.

The episode is described as follows: Surrogate Partner Therapy is often misunderstood and misrepresented. Most people are not aware of the intent, the process, and the benefits of this therapy. In this episode, Surrogate Partner Intern Andrew Heartman presents SPT as an opportunity to acquire developmental skills that have not been acquired previously. It is more than theoretical, it is more than experiential, it is developmental in nature. Andrew describes, using examples from his own experience, the growth and transformation that can result from this powerful form of therapy. Andrew was interviewed, along with colleagues Dr. Susan Kaye and Tara Livingston, on a Baltimore radio show, February 10, 2014. ArticlesSurrogate Partners' Healing Touch, released 5/31/18, includes an interview with Andrew Based largely on an interview with Andrew, The Life of a Male Sex Surrogate was released in May 2015. He told the journalist he wouldn't participate with any article that refers to him as a "sex surrogate" (here's why). Although the title is disappointing, the content of the article itself is good. Male Surrogate's Passion for Intimacy is an article about Andrew that appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle on New Year's Day, 2013. “When I think of Andrew, I think first of his warmth and his presence. He has a remarkable ability to focus his loving attention completely. Anyone fortunate enough to be working closely with Andrew will know they are being held in a spirit of love and service.
